A translation company who has increased their turnover tenfold over the last 2 years
had not given their Management Team any Personal Development. For the company to
make further progress management training and assessment was established.
How did we get involved?
By completing a Health Check on the Business, the Chairman recognised the need to
grow his Company by growing the people within it. The Company was going through huge
Operational Change and the people involved needed to understand and manage their
teams.
What have we done with the company?
The following important steps were taken
- We completed a tailor made Assessment and Development day for the Project Directors,
all of whom were managing between 3 and 10 people in their teams.
- The Personalised Assessment consisted of Group (negotiation skills) and Individual
Exercises, a Financial Awareness Exercise and Individual Interviews.
- This day highlighted a number of development needs, firstly, a “Developing Leadership
Skills” course over two days.
- Two IIB Associates designed and delivered the course.
- The success of the course has ensured further Management Training within other parts
of the business.
Outcomes
A series of important improvements have been achieved:
- Increased confidence and abilities of the Management team
- Improved relationships between Senior Personnel and their Management Team
- Increased Sales to achieve £1M turnover in one month (for the first ever time)
- Clear understanding of the impact of style on leadership and identify ways to adapt
to the situation and the individuals.
- Development of people through motivation and coaching
- Confidence in the IIB by the Company concerned.
